The Council of the Institute met at Villa Ormond on 17 March 2017. The agenda included, among other issues, the presentation of the 2016 Report of Activities; the approval of the 2016 final accounts and the 2017 provisional budget; the preparation of the XXXX Round Table which will take place in Sanremo from 7 to 9 September 2017; and the report from the Board of the Foundation of the Institute.
During the meeting Ms. Elizabeth Wilmshurst, Vice President of the Institute, presented her resignation which were accepted. Ms. Shoko Shimozawa, Head of the UNHCR Global Learning and Service Centre, and Brigadier Darren Stewart, Head of the Operational Law unit of the British Army, were co-opted as Council Members.
