Second Sanremo Lecture on International Humanitarian Law – Recording available

The Institute is glad to announce that the recording of the “Second Sanremo Lecture on International Humanitarian Law” is now available!

The Second Sanremo Lecture on International Humanitarian Law was hosted by the institute on 9th November 2021 and focused on:

“The Evolving Concept of War within a Framework of International Law”

The lecture was delivered by Professor Mary Ellen O’Connell, member of the Institute and currently Robert and Marion Short Professor of Law and Research Professor of International Dispute Resolution—Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame (United States). Her work is in the areas of international law on the use of force, international dispute resolution, and international legal theory.

The event was introduced by Professor Edoardo Greppi, President of the Institute, and moderated by Professor Gabriella Venturini, Member of the Council of the Sanremo Institute.
